Standard Clodrosome Macrophage Depletion Reagents
- Unmodified multilamellar clodronate-containing and control liposomes
- Composed of biosimilar egg-derived phophatidylcholine and cholesterol in a 7:3 molar ratio
- Suspended in physiologically-compatible Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) at pH 7.4
- Similar to formulations used in majority of published macrophage depletion studies
- Optimal size (0.3-3 µm) for rapid macrophage uptake
- May be dosed systemically or locally (see Routes of Administration )
- Use Fluoroliposome™ (fluorescent control liposomes) for FACS analysis, confocal microscopy and biodistribution
